Creature Ark brings our animals to your classroom or learning space.
There's nothing to beat a " hands on " experience where students can hold, touch and feel, discovering the wonders of our creatures from around the world. We are "good to go" and have a full COVID19 risk assessment and full procedures in place to enable your face to face experience.
Fostering care, respect and understanding, children of all ages and stages of learning can meet our animals whilst discovering more about each animals anatomy, how they fit into food chains, their habitats and much more. This creates lasting memories and brings learning to life.
Our workshops are tailored to meet specific learning requirements and designed to link in with the "Life processes and living things" element of the National Science Curriculum whilst spreading our conservation message and care for the natural world around us.
Our team includes STEM ambassadors who have presented with our animals at numerous school, educational, countryside and STEM events, including the Big Bang Near Me and Countryside Learning days.
The forum of the workshops encourages discussion amongst students and inspires creative writing for further work in class. There is lots of opportunity for the students to ask questions and reinforce their understanding of the natural world around them.
We offer many varied workshops including:
Rainforest
Minibeast
Evolution and Inheritance
Predators
Our living world
Nocturnal animals
Classification
Animals and their young
Learn and draw
Creative writing stimuli
Making your school environment more nature friendly ( including hedgeghog friendly spaces and building bug hotels)- post visit worksheets available
If your desired subject is not above, please do contact us to discuss your requirements.

" I have worked with Mags for several years and have always found her to be professional + efficient in the work she does. She has a provided the charity I work for ( Countryside Learning ) with opportunities for children to experience animals close up.
Mags is a great communicator, putting everyone at their ease whilst passing on the huge knowledge she has about so many different animals, from cuddly rabbits to not quite so cuddly tarantula spiders.
Her ability to "join up" with the public she is talking to, is fantastic and the most disinterested child can become a fan for life. "

"Creature Ark have been incredible in supporting our school events, in particular hosting a workshop during our BIG Primary STEM Day, in which Creature Ark brought in a variety of wonderful creatures for our students to learn about. Students attending the workshop were delighted with the amazing animals they got to meet, and even hold! Mags from Creature Ark was a delight with our students, and ensured that they all felt welcome and comfortable when meeting the animals. An incredible workshop that went down an absolute treat, we would recommend Creature Ark to anyone looking for a super fun and educational animal workshop!"

"Never fails to impress" "lots of interesting facts, but delivered in a child friendly accessible manner. "
" knowledge about the animals, was fantastic. The words used to describe the animals and the way spoken with the children was clear and the children understood."
"We all had a wonderful time and it was just brilliant to have our whole year group together for such a great experience, even though we are apart at this time.
The children and staff have learned so much about the rainforest animals and could still get up close and personal with them on our large Interactive whiteboards. Thank you so much for making it happen for us all. Highly recommended." Online session Mount Pleasant Junior School
